guess what?!?!!

I still can hardly believe it, but it's true!! We are over the moon excited!!! There are just not enough words...

I will be 14 weeks on Saturday & we got to hear sweet baby's heartbeat again today. We could hear loud whooshing sounds occasionally, too & our midwife said that baby was apparently moving all around & doing flips in there. (I can't wait to be able to feel all those flips!)

These past few weeks I've been feeling better & better, no more morning sickness or all day fatigue. I can actually stay up past 9pm now. (I was going to bed around 8:30pm every night!) I am starting to get a tiny bump & I already have to use the rubber band trick because my pants no longer button. It all still feels like a dream but we are so in love with baby already & can't wait to go through this adventure together!!

I can't brag enough about how amazing Creed has been. I couldn't ask for a better partner in life & feel so lucky that this amazing man will be my baby's father! I honestly am surprised we have been able to keep it a secret this long!! I know it is making our holiday season HAPPY indeed!!!

holiday gift wrapping ideas

One of my very favorite things about Christmas (& any time I can give a gift) is the wrapping and/or presentation! I always stay stocked up on craft paper because of it's many uses but mainly because it's the perfect, simple canvas to wrap amazing presents for any occasion! Here is a little list of some craft paper inspired wrapping ideas for this holiday season:

free feather gift tag printables - by love vs. design
I think these are my favorite! I will definitely be printing some out this year for all my packages!! Click on the link above to download & print some for yourself!!

creative diy gift tags - by creature comforts
They used puzzle pieces from a memory game board for tags (so cute to use as ornaments after)!

diy gift wrapping - by october afternoon
adorable packages using scrap booking materials!

glitter pin toppers - by creature comforts
I just think these little pins are so cute!!!

I can't wait to get started wrapping!! I just need to finish making/buying all my gifts! If you have any great wrapping ideas, feel free to link to it in the comment section, I'd love to see them!! Happy Thursday! hugs & cheek pecks, Meghan

playing catch up

I thought I would do a little catch up post since, ahem, I missed the whole month of November. So here goes:

-I did, indeed, finish my halloween costume but never took the time to take some good photos of it. I had two little halloween parties I went to & both I was rushed to get out the door & was just lazy. The photo above is my finished mask! (I want to make a million more & will do a how-to post next time!)

- We had our first big snowfall of the season before halloween, I woke up one morning to this! It was stunning! Of course, it mostly melted within the next few days but I enjoyed it while it lasted.

- I have been in hibernation mode since the beginning of November but with Christmas on the way I am getting some of my creativity & energy back!

- & that pretty much brings us to Thanksgiving. We stayed in Colorado this year & I hosted a little dinner with friends. I made all of our favorites - twice baked potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, veggies galore, roasted brussel sprouts.... - it was so delicious that I forgot to take any photos! I felt so accomplished that I was able to do it all myself. My mom always made it seem so effortless (umm, it's not) but I am glad she taught me how to do it all!

I have put up most of our Christmas decorations & plan to post some photos soon! I am so ready to start some of our new/old Christmas traditions as our own little family this year, since it will just be us again, like last year. I can't believe it has almost been one whole year living in Colorado!! There are so many fun things on the horizon! Happy Monday! xo. Meghan
