our 4th of July

We had a very relaxed 4th. All the surrounding firework shows were cancelled because of the recent wildfires so I cooked a lot of yummy things, we watched some movies & took the dogs out for a little walk - realized it was too HOT & then came back in, ate more food & watched more movies! I worked on some orders in between all of that & all in all, it turned out to be a perfect, lazy 4th of July celebration! Here are a few snapshots of the day...

That Olive dog....she's a mess - always chewing on something. I hope everyone in the U.S. had a safe & fun holiday! I will be back tomorrow with a list of my recent favorite summer recipes!! I have been trying lots of new yummy things!
hugs, Meghan

  1. Although I love fireworks, the highlight of the 4th for me is always the BBQing and spending time with family and friends. Sounds like you had a lovely day with your family. Looking forward to reading your fav summer recipes!

  3. Meghan, I recently found your blog (i'm @katriiina on twitter) and have been dying over how cute your pugs are! I'm looking to get a pug for myself sometime in the near-ish future and honestly cannot tell you how much the photos of Olive and Razzy make me wish I had a pug of my own RIGHT. NOW.

    1. You definitely need to go get a little puggy now!! ;) They are so worth it, once you become a pug owner though, there's no turning back. It's like being in an exclusive club. ha! :) They really are a fun & sweet breed!
